Susan M. Gross - Assistant Conductor
Mrs. Sue Gross is a creator/ founding member of the HSO, HSO Assistant Conductor for 29 years and HSO Principal Violist for 24 years. Sue has studied Viola since the 3rd grade and was under the tutelage of Mr. Robert Shreffler and Mr. Clyde Mummert. Sue has been teaching music in the Spring Grove Area School District for 35 years. In those years she has been the String Director for grades 3 – 8, taught elementary band, taught essential music grades 1-8, taught Marching Band/Indoor Guard and was SGI Choral Director. Sue is a multi-instrumentalist and conductor playing and conducting with various local ensembles. Sue was also the interim handbell choir director at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover.

BS Music Education from West Chester University,
MS Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College, and
ESL Degree from Millersville University/Wilkes University
